Wao! Wao!! Wao!!! Wha a match! What a Manchestre derby!!
This evening at Old Trafford, English Premiership champions Manchester City showed that they are not about to surrender r their title to neighbours Manchester United even though they the title appeared beyond their reach.
In what was a soccer battle of epic proportions, City proved to more than “the noisy neighbourss” as they took the war to the more successful homers, leaving no doubt about their determination to cut down onnthe 15 points that separated both sies on the top of the table.
It was a night in which thevisitors did all the scoring – netting twice for themselves and once for the hosts. After a scoreless first half, City turned on the magic on the restart. In the 51st minute, Giggs gave the ball away to Barry who promptly stormed towards upfield. He squared it to Nasri and the ball was laid off to Milner who fired a left-footed shot on goal that deflects off Carrick and Jones before nestling in the bottom corner of the net via the despairing right hand of De Gea.
Seve minutes later, United were back on level terms courtesy of City skipper Vincent Kompany but substitute striker Aguero restored the lead in the 78th minute when he picked the ball up in the D and drove into the box, doing superbly to stay on his feet, before slamming the ball into the roof of the net.
Every effort by the homers to equalise proved abortive.
